At SICWA (Sibuco Islamic Charity and Welfare Association), we believe that health is a trust (amanah) from Allah ﷻ and a blessing that must be safeguarded. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time.” (Bukhari)
Caring for one’s health is not only a personal responsibility but also a community duty. Guided by Islamic principles of rahmah (mercy) and khidmah (service), our Healthcare Programs are dedicated to supporting underserved families in Sibuco through medical care, health education, and access to essential services—so that no one is left behind in their time of need.
🩺 Medical Missions
We organize regular medical missions to reach remote and underserved communities, providing free consultations, check-ups, and treatments. These missions reflect the Sunnah of compassion, as the Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others.” (Tabarani)
Through these efforts, we ensure that every member of our community—especially the poor and vulnerable—receives the care they deserve.
📖 Health Education
In Islam, prevention and cleanliness are highly emphasized. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Cleanliness is half of faith.” (Muslim)
SICWA conducts health awareness programs on hygiene, nutrition, maternal care, and disease prevention, empowering families with knowledge to lead healthier lives. By teaching both modern health practices and Islamic guidance on well-being, we nurture stronger, healthier communities.
🏥 Clinic Support
Strengthening healthcare access is vital for long-term well-being. SICWA assists in developing and supporting local clinics and health facilities to provide sustainable, reliable medical services. This reflects the Islamic duty to care for the sick and vulnerable, as the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” (Muslim)
💊 Medicine Distribution
For families who cannot afford treatment, we distribute essential medicines and medical supplies. This act of service fulfills the Qur’anic call to “cooperate in righteousness and piety” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:2) and helps preserve life, which is among the highest values in Islam.
By supporting SICWA’s Healthcare Programs, you are taking part in a noble mission that not only saves lives but also brings you closer to Allah ﷻ through acts of mercy and service.
“And whoever saves one life—it is as if he had saved all of mankind.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32)
Your support can bring healing and hope to the people of Sibuco. Together, we can uphold the Islamic duty of caring for the sick and ensure that healthcare is accessible to all.
