At SICWA (Sibuco Islamic Charity and Welfare Association), we are committed to standing with our community in times of crisis. Islam teaches us the value of compassion (rahmah) and helping those in distress, reminding us that every act of relief is an act of worship. Allah ﷻ says:
“Whoever saves one life—it is as if he had saved all of mankind.” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32)
Natural disasters and unforeseen emergencies can strike without warning, leaving families vulnerable and in urgent need. Our Emergency Relief Program provides both immediate assistance and long-term recovery support, helping the people of Sibuco rebuild their lives with dignity, faith, and hope.
🌪 Disaster Response
When disasters such as floods, landslides, or storms affect Sibuco, SICWA mobilizes swiftly to deliver critical aid—guided by the principle of fard kifayah (collective responsibility). We strive to ensure that no one is left behind, fulfilling the Qur’anic call to “help one another in righteousness and piety” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:2).
🍞 Food & Water
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.” (Bukhari)
With this in mind, SICWA distributes food packs, clean drinking water, and essential supplies to affected families—addressing their most urgent needs during difficult times, and restoring a sense of comfort and security.
🏠 Temporary Shelter
For families displaced by disasters, we provide temporary shelter solutions that offer safety, warmth, and stability until permanent housing is restored. This reflects the Sunnah of caring for the vulnerable and ensuring that every believer has a place of protection.
🩺 Medical Aid
Health is among the greatest blessings from Allah ﷻ, and safeguarding it becomes even more vital in emergencies. SICWA organizes medical missions, provides first aid, medicines, and healthcare support, and works to protect the well-being of survivors—fulfilling the Prophetic teaching:
“The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Tabarani)
By supporting our Emergency Relief Program, you become part of a collective effort that not only saves lives but also earns continuous rewards (sadaqah jariyah). Together, we can ease the suffering of those in need and fulfill our duty as an Ummah of mercy.
“The believers, in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion, are like one body; if one part of it suffers, the whole body responds with wakefulness and fever.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
Together, we can save lives and bring hope to families in Sibuco when they need it most.
