At SICWA (Sibuco Islamic Charity and Welfare Association), we believe that education is not just a path to breaking the cycle of poverty, but also a means of fulfilling one of Islam’s greatest virtues—seeking knowledge. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” (Ibn Majah)
With this guidance, our Education Support Program is dedicated to ensuring that every child in Sibuco has the opportunity to learn, grow in faith and character, and succeed in life—no matter their background. Through scholarships, essential learning materials, and improved school facilities, we aim to create an environment where quality education is both accessible and guided by Islamic values.
🎓 Scholarships & Grants
We provide financial assistance to underprivileged students in Sibuco, supporting them in their pursuit of both religious and secular education. This includes:
Local Islamic programs such as Madrasa and Tahfidz (Qur’an memorization)
International Islamic studies
Philippine formal education
This support ensures they can continue their learning journey without the burden of financial hardship. By the will of Allah, your donations allow these students to deepen their Islamic knowledge, pursue their dreams, and contribute back to the Ummah as future leaders, scholars, and professionals.
🏫 School Construction
A safe and conducive learning environment is essential for nurturing young minds. Many schools in Sibuco lack proper classrooms, libraries, and facilities. Inspired by the Qur’anic command to “help one another in righteousness and piety” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:2), SICWA is committed to building and renovating schools so children can learn in spaces that inspire hope, faith, and knowledge.
📚 Learning Materials
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Bukhari)
For a child to succeed in both dunya (this life) and akhirah (the Hereafter), access to the right tools is vital. Many children in marginalized areas of Sibuco struggle without even basic learning materials. By providing books, Qur’ans, and school supplies, we equip them with resources that nurture both academic excellence and spiritual growth.
👩🏫 Teacher Training
Teachers are the foundation of strong communities. By strengthening our educators, we raise the quality of education for generations to come. SICWA invests in teacher training programs that improve not only professional skills but also Islamic teaching methodologies, ensuring that children learn with tarbiyah (proper nurturing), adab (manners), and ilm (knowledge).
With your support, you are not just donating—you are investing in sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity), as every child who benefits from your contribution carries the reward forward.
“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim)
Join us at SICWA in building a future where knowledge and faith light the way for our youth.
Your support can make a difference.
