Every act of charity is not lost—it is preserved with Allah ﷻ as a source of mercy, protection, and reward in the Hereafter.

On the Day of Judgment, when the sun will be brought near and people will stand in distress, everyone will desperately seek shade and safety. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave us glad tidings:

“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Tirmidhi)

This powerful hadith teaches us that every dirham, peso, or gift given in charity becomes a shield against the hardships of that Day. What we give for Allah’s sake in this world transforms into comfort, shade, and protection in the next.

Why Charity is a Shade

  • It is a shield from the intensity of the Day of Judgment.
  • It is a sign of sincerity and love for Allah.
  • It brings ease and security when no other protection is available.
  • It stands as a testimony of our faith and compassion.

Allah ﷻ says:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)

Be Among Those in the Shade

When you give through SICWA—whether supporting orphans, feeding families, sponsoring education, or funding healthcare—you are not just helping people in this world. You are preparing your own shade and protection in the Hereafter, when nothing else will matter except our deeds.

Give charity today—let your generosity become your shade on the Day of Resurrection.
