Charity

Giving charity is more than just helping others—it is a shield for ourselves, a means of forgiveness, and a source of blessings in this life and the Hereafter.

The Prophet Muhammad ď·ş taught us:

“Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Tirmidhi)

When we give sincerely for the sake of Allah, our sadaqah not only relieves the burdens of others but also protects us and our families from trials and hardships that we cannot foresee. Charity becomes a spiritual safeguard, standing between us and misfortune.

Charity as Forgiveness of Sins

Charity is also a path to Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. Allah ﷻ says:

“If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:271)

Every act of giving—whether large or small, public or hidden—becomes a means by which Allah erases sins, purifies hearts, and multiplies rewards.

Why Charity Matters

  • It protects from calamities and misfortune.
  • It erases sins and brings Allah’s forgiveness.
  • It purifies wealth, making what remains more blessed.
  • It strengthens the Ummah, ensuring no one is left behind.

The Prophet ď·ş said:

“Charity does not decrease wealth. No one forgives except that Allah increases him in honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises him in status.” (Muslim)

By supporting SICWA’s programs—whether food distribution, orphan care, healthcare, or education—you are not just helping those in need. You are protecting yourself and your family, erasing sins, and drawing closer to Allah’s mercy.

Give today—let your charity be your shield, your purifier, and your path to Paradise.
